台湾地区警察教育培训在实践探索中逐步形成了依法规范运作、侧重内涵发展、实施优渥待遇、创新管理机制等特色，但也面临办学规模偏小、交流途径单向、升迁渠道狭窄等问题。对公安教育培训改革而言，应切实把握中央政法会议精神，充分发挥公安院校的主力军作用，推进招生募警衔接，强化校地联系沟通，调整教学训练体系。

More and more practice brings the police teaching and training in Taiwan many advantages as fol-lows:an encouragement of implementing process strict with law , a focus on inner development , an application of munificent treatment , and an adoption of innovative administrative mechanism .However, it is also confronting challenges, such as a small schooling scale, a one-way commucating model, a narrow promotion channel, ect.As for the reform of the public security education in Mainland , we must conscientiously grasp the spirit of the CPC's Central Conference of Politics and Law to give full play to the public security colleges , the main force , which is be-lieved to push forward the connections between enrolling students and recruiting police , to enhance the exchanges between colleges and the society and to regulate the teaching and training programme of the colleges .
