Constructivism as a paradigm posits that learning is an active, constructive process. Scaffolding instruction model, based on the constructivism theory, is always centered on the learner/student, the teacher being the guide and the helper. This re?search is to discuss principles and techniques of designing scaffolding activities in integrated English course for English majors. Two activities are listed to demonstrate how to organize and carry out scaffolding class activities and help students improve their language ability comprehensively.
