Medicinal chemistry is difficult to learn because of its various scope contents and relates to other course of chemical and pharmacal areas. A teaching method based on topical drug discussion was used in this course, which can enhance students’ learning motivation, encourage students to self-study relevant courses, train students’ comprehensive ability, and promote teachers’ knowledge accumulation.
