糖尿病是严重危害人类健康的疾病，而肥胖是2型糖尿病（ T2DM）发病的独立危险因素，同时T2DM中80％的患者有不同程度的肥胖。研究发现，通过减肥手术不仅能有效减重，对于T2DM也具有确实的缓解作用，同时肥胖相关的睡眠呼吸暂停、高血压、高脂血症等也有明显的改善，能显著提高患者的生活质量。因此，减肥手术被认为是T2DM传统内科治疗效果不理想时的一种新型而有效的治疗方法。

Diabetes is a serious disease that threatens the public health .Many studies have confirmed that obesity is one of the independent risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM),and 80% of the patients with T2DM have various degrees of obesity.It has been found that bariatric surgery not only can help the patients to reduce weight,but also can alleviate suffering from T2DM.Moreover,symptoms ofother obesity-related illnesses,such as obstructive sleep apnea,hypertension and hyperlipidaemia can also be improved as well,resulting in better quality of lives of the patients.Therefore,bariatric surgery is now considered as a new and effective treatment for T2DM patients when traditional medical methods can not achieve satisfactory results.
