唐至五代，牡丹在各地广泛传播，受到各个阶层的喜爱，社会由此掀起了一股喜爱牡丹的热潮。牡丹热是社会、经济、文化、技术等发展到一定程度的产物。研究唐五代牡丹的地理分布，从多个角度分析牡丹得以广泛传播的原因，有助于我们了解唐五代时的社会习俗及其文化风貌。

From the Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties,tree peonies had spread widely throughout the country.They were popular with people of all ranks and classes and even caused a fanaticism of them.The fanaticism of tree peonies is the result of the development of society,economy,culture,technique and so on. By researching the geographical distribution of tree peonies in the Tang and Five Dynasties and analyzing the reasons of the popularization of them from various angles,the process of the rise and fall of the fanati-cism of them in the Tang and Five Dynasties can be discussed.
