吕景蒙于明嘉靖前期任职于颍州，其职司虽重在风宪且任职时间不长，但在明代中后期乃至清代颍州的人文教化史中贡献卓著，影响深远，被列为颍州名宦。他最具影响力的人文教化举措是修缮了西湖书院、兴建了三忠六贞祠、纂修了颍州地方志，这些人文教化措施功在当时，誉流后世，不仅提升了颍州人文生态的品质，而且使颍州在一个较长的时期内延续了这一人文生态的高位品质。

Lv Jing-meng served in Yingzhou in early Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty. Although his function on discipline supervision and service time is not too long, he made outstanding contributions in the history of Yingzhou’s humanistic education in the later period of Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty. As his influence is profound, he is listed as the notable official of Yingzhou. His most influential humanistic education measures are the renovation of West Lake Academy, the construction of San-zhong-liu-zhen Ancestral Temple and the compilation of Yingzhou’s local chronicles. These measures worked at that time, passes to the later generation, not only enhancing Yingzhou’s humanistic ecology quality, but also continuing Yingzhou’s higher humanistic ecology quality in a longer period of time.
