大南湖二号煤矿矿区内中侏罗系西山窑组浅部煤层自燃,导致煤层顶底板围岩烧变,形成孔隙裂隙发育的烧变岩,在地质历史时期内由于大气降水及丰水期地表径流的补给,使得烧变岩孔隙内充满了水。烧变岩含水层对下部煤层的剥离开采是巨大的限制,需要预先疏干烧变岩的水以降低采坑排水压力。成井后的降水井水文地质参数显示烧变岩含水层渗透性极好,为极强富水性岩层,层内水力关系密切,烧变岩含水层的非均质性极强。
