从孔子到孟子，再到《孝经》，“孝”的思想经历了长期的演变，逐渐与“忠”相结合，到汉代“移孝作忠”，孝与忠已经密不可分。魏晋时期，“孝先于忠”思想在继承前代忠孝观的基础上又有所超越。魏晋“以孝治国”的特殊政治背景与政治功用为“孝先于忠”的思想盛行提供了政治土壤，门阀士族政治的兴盛以及名教与自然矛盾的调和也为它提供了现实基础和思想基础。

From Confucius to Mencius ,and then to The Piety Scripture ,the thought of“filial piety”experienced a long-term development ,gradually combining with“loyalty” .In the Han Dynasty ,“filial piety”was converted into“loy-alty” .At that time ,“loyalty”and“filial piety”were inseparable .In the Wei and Jin Dynasties ,“filial piety prevails on loyalty”inherited and exceeded the former value of“loyalty”and“filial piety” .The special political background of“rul-ing by filial piety”in the Wei and Jin Dynasties is the premise of the prevalence of“filial piety prevails on loyalty” .Be-sides ,the prosperity of aristocratic politics and the harmonization of contradictions between“the Confucian ethical code”and“Nature” provide the realistic and ideological foundation of the prevalence of“filial piety prevails on loyalty” .
