速录技术是一门新兴的信息技术。法学本科学生掌握较高速录技能，将提升其社会竞争力，既可提高自身的专业素质，又可扩大就业范围。目前速录课程的开设、速录技能的培训主要集中在高职院校的文秘与速录专业。基于地方普通高校转型发展的背景，普通高校法学教育界应敏锐地捕捉到这一时代信息，在法学本科人才培养方案中应加快开设速录技能课程的进程，以速录技能特训班、选修课或必修课的形式，提升法学本科学生的速录技能。
