The national geographic conditions monitoring can reveal the internal relationship and evolution law between economic and social development and resource environment.However,the macroscopic,integrity and comprehensive of national geographic conditions information determined that the national geographic conditions monitoring project requires the support of more comprehensive data of industry development and social and economic statistical data.This paper put forward the concept and construction framework of the knowledge support library in geographic conditions monitoring,analyzed its construction objectives,main content and performance requirements,discussed its key construction technology including organization and management of metadata-based vast amounts of information,multi-source information integration and sharing based on Web services,online data analysis and model calculation based on the scientific workflow,etc.It expounded several problems need to be resolved in achieving high performance knowledge service in geographic conditions monitoring.
