The main failure reasons about main bearings of aircraft engine are analyzed.A set of fault prediction method for the bearings is presented,which is easy to be used in practical engineering,including oil monitoring,temperature monitoring,vibration monitoring,noise analysis,rotor inertia and bearing clearance.The engineering practices prove that the fault of main bearings for engine can be timely discovered and the flight accidents are reduced when these tech-nical methods are systematically used.
