企业环境责任概念与实施的时代背景和发展脉络，最初起源于企业社会责任（CSR）概念的发展，在西方得到制度化的实践。环境协同论、环境正义论与责任伦理学可以为企业环境责任寻求理论基础，它们令人信服地论证了为什么要对大自然和人类自身及其遥远的后代负责这个问题，从而使企业环境责任有了深厚坚实的伦理学基础，同时西方环境责任的实践也推动着环境伦理向纵深和广阔的维度发展。
企業環境責任概唸與實施的時代揹景和髮展脈絡，最初起源于企業社會責任（CSR）概唸的髮展，在西方得到製度化的實踐。環境協同論、環境正義論與責任倫理學可以為企業環境責任尋求理論基礎，它們令人信服地論證瞭為什麽要對大自然和人類自身及其遙遠的後代負責這箇問題，從而使企業環境責任有瞭深厚堅實的倫理學基礎，同時西方環境責任的實踐也推動著環境倫理嚮縱深和廣闊的維度髮展。

The historical background and developmental history of the conception and execution of corporate environmental responsibility have originated from the development of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and then experienced institutional practice in western countries. The article explores theoretical foundation for corporate environmental responsibility by use of the theories of environmental coordination, environmental justice and the ethics of responsibility, indicating that they have persuasively demonstrated why we should be responsible for the nature, human beings and their offspring, and therefore laid a deep and sound foundation;in the meanwhile, that the practice of corporate environmental responsibility also promotes the further development of the whole environmental ethics.
