The step slope rate of excavated slope designed with slope rate method is usually the direct step slope recommended by present national stan-dard, with stability seldom calculated, but the slope stability safety factors do not always meet the relevant requirements in present national standard. The calculation method of slope stability factors with slope rate method is elaborated with cases. It can offer some references for similar project.
