This paper puts forward the concept of partial y cable-supported girder bridge, expounds the design principle,characteristics and application scope of this kind of bridge. At the same time, points out the method to determine the cable force and cable layout characteristics of this kind of bridge . At last, three design examples of this kind of bridge are introduced.
