面向云计算的数据中心一般由大量服务器组成,保持合适数量活跃服务器提供及时服务的同时,尽可能切换服务器到空闲模式以减少能耗是一种有效的节能措施。文章研究了负载已知的情况下如何最小化数据中心操作能耗(服务进程能耗)和切换能耗(活跃/空闲模式改变能耗)的问题。首先,建立数据中心能耗最小化模型;然后分析特殊情况下最优解的特性;最后通过消除动态规划的递推过程,得到具有多项式复杂度的最优算法。不同负载变化趋势的数值结果表明,该算法能保证能耗达到最小,同时计算过程平稳。

Cloud computing‐oriented and suchlike data centers generally consist of a large number of servers .It is an effective energy saving measure to keep an appropriate number of active servers to perform timely service ,while switch the servers to idle mode if possible to reduce power consumption . In this paper ,the problem that how to minimize operation power consumption (service process power consumption) and switching power consumption (transformation power consumption of active/idle mode) of the data center under known load condition is studied .First ,the power consumption mini‐mization model of data center is established . T hen the characteristics of the optimal solution under special circumstances are analyzed .Finally ,the optimal algorithm that has polynomial complexity is obtained by eliminating the recursive process of dynamic programming .The numerical results for vari‐ation tendency of different loads show that the proposed algorithm can guarantee minimum power con‐sumption with a smooth computing process .
