《津门武术》以天津地域武术为线索，系统的分析了天津的地理环境和人文等对武术文化的形成以及发展。全书共九章分别就津门武术发展的轨迹，众多的武术组织，天津特色武术流派，天津重点武术人物，天津的武侠小说创作及民间武术轶事以及《大公报》与土洋体育之争，第一届民运会的成功举办，天穆村武术文化的传承与发展，天津武术的地域文化定位等等，天津武术在其形成上因自己独特的地理位置和特别的人文形成了自己独立的特色，用杨教授的话来说：形成了“文化孤岛”独立的文化区，表现“吸纳性极强而辐射性太弱”的特点致使其独具特色，内容丰厚的天津武术并没有引起人们应有的重视。此书的撰写完成可谓是对天津这个独立的文化区的武术文化特色展现在了世人的面前，为天津这片地域武术的研究做出巨大的贡献。

Wushu in Jinmen is a book written by professor Yang, who is an associate dean of Wushu school in the University of Tianjin Sport, this writing was published by Shanxi science and technology presser in December 2013. This book based on Tianjin regional Wushu, systematically analyzed the geographical environment and humanistic in Tianjin, and their influence to the formation and development in the local Wushu culture. There are nine chapters in this book, respectively tells the trail of the development in Tianjin Wushu development, different Wushu organizations, special Wushu schools in Tianjin, men of heavy weight in the circle, novels, stories, Ta Kung Newspaper and contradiction between Chinese native sport and western sport. The first non government game, the propagation and inheritance in Tianmu county, Tianjin Wushu's position in the regional culture. To quote from professor yang himself, it formulateS an independent culture zone like an isolated island. Tianjin Wushu's rich contents didn't receive enough attention shows it's weak influence and strong inclusiveness. The advent of this book exhibits Tianjin Wushu's characteristic to the world, and contribute immensely to Tianjin regional Wushu research.
