Comprehe nsive utilization of marine diesel engine waste heat for power generation is an effective measures for sailing ship energy saving and emissions reduction. The research and development of marine diesel engine waste heat utilization technology abroad is introduced. The analysis of thermal efficiency of 6S50ME-C8.2 diesel engine waste heat comprehensive utilization system demonstrates that the system can recycle energy of 940 kW power, increasing the diesel engine comprehensive thermal efficiency by about 5.1%.
