社会生活多元化带来多种社会思潮长期并存是一个不争的事实。这当中既有伴随着全球化大潮而来的西方思想文化渗透，也有传统文化中的腐朽思想在现时代的沉渣泛起，还有伴随着改革开放而形成的各种新的思想流派。多种社会思潮的存在必然对新时期大学生民族精神的培育带来巨大挑战。加强大学生的文化自觉，增强他们的民族自信心和文化认同感，提高他们辨析各种社会思潮的能力，对新时期大学生民族精神的培育具有非常重要的意义。

Along with the fast pace of globalization and modernization in China, the relationships among countries and nations become increasingly closer. Undoubtedly, diversified social lives have led to coexistence of multiple social ideologi-cal trends, among which there are not only Western thoughts and cultures that have penetrated into China with globaliza-tion, but also decadent thoughts that recur in modern times from traditional cultures and various new schools of thoughts that have come into being with the reform and opening up. With the coexistence of several social ideological trends, great challenges will be inevitably faced in cultivating university students ’ national spirits in a new era. It is critically impor-tant for the cultivation of university students’ national spirits in a new age by increasing their national confidence, en-hancing their cultural identity and improving their abilities to discriminate different social ideological.
