A triple micro-computer governor with crossing redundancy is adopted in Shuibuya Hydropower Station.The general structure, redundancy strategy, switch principle and application effects of this governor are introduced.The gov-ernor is controlled by three sets of independent Quantum series PLC which can communicate with each other.Thus, the micro-computer regulators and their I/O channels are of crossing redundancy, which provides a good fault-tolerant con-trol performance.
