利用清华大学水利系研发的两通道微机控制压缩光弹试验机,分析了颗粒体系在轴向加载条件下,颗粒位移场及其梯度场和应力变化,结果表明宏观应力的陡降是局部颗粒的微小调整引起的,颗粒体系变形局部化对应着位移梯度大的区域,这些结果对于认识颗粒体系细观结构演化规律提供了实验支持。

By using the photo - elastic technique,a two - dimensional granular system composed of round disks is compressed uniaxially. The displacement field and its gradient are analyzed by meaning of image recognition. It was found that the stress drop is resulted in particle rearrangement in local area,and the phenomena of localization corresponds to large displacement gradient area. This result sheds insight into the mesoscopic structure evolution and its links to macroscopic properties in granular materials.
