This article first introduces the development situation of commercial bank bond underwriting business in China and puts forward the importance of opening bond underwriting business for commercial bank transformation in the situation of deepening financial reform, enhancing capital constraint and tight loan. It uses Michael Porter's Five Forces to analyze the market situation of commercial bank bond underwriting business in Hebei Province and comes up to the conclusion that horizontal competition is the main factors influencing the direct debt financing tools underwriting business, so the banks should focus on market competition in business development strategy making. After getting the conclusion above, in order to make business development strategy more scientifically and systematically, this article uses Competitive Profile Matrix to analyze the competitive situation of bond underwriting business in Hebei Province and determines the strengths, weaknesses and relative competitive position of the main competitors to provide reference for market participants to make competition strategy. At last, because there is obvious difference between investment banks and commercial banks in market positioning and financing function, and Bond underwriting business is a typical investment banking business, in order to ensure the right implementation of business development strategy, this article proposes relative suggestions for the specific development of commercial bank bond underwriting business, which can provide reference for the banks to Comply with the financial market change trend, seize the moment to complete the business transformation and make systematic and scientific debt financing tools underwriting business development strategy.
