在高职英语课程的改革中，校本课程的开发是重要的任务。校本课程在开发的过程中要重视高职英语的微型化、情景化和多样化的特点。校本课程的开发主要是为了提高学生的职业技能、增加教师的教学能力、改善高职英语的教学体系。最终形成高职英语独特的教学风格，让学生能够适应社会的发展。目前高职英语在校本课程开发的过程中面临着学生自身能力不足和课程体系不稳定两大问题。
