Compared with other alternatives fuels, methanol gasoline is more in line with China' s resource con-dition, thus being prospective and promising. The current state of methanol gasoline research was briefly introduced. The issues occurring in the product promotion and utilization, the correspondingly improvements, and particularly the detergency of methanol gasoline, were discussed.
