英语口语表达能力的提高对于大学生的英语学习极为重要。该研究针对国内某校非英语专业大一学生进行问卷调查，调查的内容包括英语口语水平的自我认知，口语基础知识的掌握和课外口语练习的情况。调查结果表明，很少有同学掌握明确的口语训练方法，并且该校大一同学的英语口语表达能力普遍很差。最终，该研究指出教师可以使用即兴戏剧表演的形式指导学生全面提高英语口语表达能力。

Oral English plays a significant role in college students’English learning. The study conducts a questionnaire investiga?tion to the students who learn English as their second language. The investigation focuses on the students’personal evaluation of oral English level, the comprehensive knowledge of oral English and the off-class training in English speaking. The research shows that very few students have emphatic method in oral English training, which leads to an unsatisfactory condition in most students ’ competence in oral English. Finally, it is suggested that teachers could try the method of improvisation play in English to improve the students’oral English.
