提出了一种基于二氧化硅球微腔与锥形光纤耦合系统的掺铒光纤激光器.所提光纤激光器采用一段长度为1.5 m的掺铒光纤作为增益介质,使用980 nm的激光二极管进行泵浦.在激光器输出端引入一个直径为125μm的二氧化硅球微腔和一段锥腰直径为3μm的锥形光纤组成的耦合系统.所提激光器系统中,球微腔作为激光器的反射镜和滤波器.实验中实现了工作波长为1563.95 nm的稳定激光输出.该激光器在高灵敏度折射率传感器等方面具有潜在的应用价值.

An erbium-doped fiber laser based on a microsphere coupling system was discussed.The proposed fiber laser employed a piece of 1.5 m-long erbium-doped fiber, and pumped by 980 nm diode.At the output end of the laser, a coupling system consisted of a silica microsphere with a diameter of 125 m and a fiber taper with a waist diameter of 3 m were introduced.The microsphere acted as both reflective mirror and wavelength selective filter in the laser.The laser was operated with a stable lasing of 1 563.95 nm.The fiber laser was found have huge potential application in high-sensitivity refractive index sensor field.
