通过典型医案，从病因病机、证治规律方面入手探讨冉雪峰治疗胃脘痞痛的学术经验。冉雪峰认为胃脘痞痛的主要病机为寒热错杂、痰气交阻、肝胃不和、肝胃郁热、痰热互结、瘀血凝滞、胃阴虚、胃气虚等，但多以寒热错杂为基础相互兼夹，治疗总以辛开苦降为主，和胃降逆，开上痹，畅中气。
