抗战时期处于蒋介石和龙云政治较量格局中的西南联大，在与政府共同治理的过程中，既有与南京国民政府在理念、制度和文化人格方面的冲突，也有与云南地方政府的调适，还有为实现大学的理想和使命作出的艰苦卓绝的斗争和努力。上述史实对于理解大学与政府各自的角色与职能以及构建当代中国大学与政府的有效治理实践具有重要的启示意义。

During the period of Anti-Japanese War when Chiang Kai-shek competed with Long Yun in politics,the National Southwestern Associated University confronted with not only the conflicts with Nangjing National Government in ideas,system and cultural personality,but also adjustment to the local government of Yunnan Province,as well as struggles and efforts to realize the ideals and the mis-sion of the university. It shows an inspiration and practical significance to understand the respective roles and functions of universities and government,construction of modern Chinese universities and ef-fective governance practice of government.
