Taking the AC asynchronous traction mo-tor of the HXD1C high-power locomotive as example, the 2D mathematic model of the electro-magnetic field was established and its solved region was determined either. The finite element method was applied to calculate the electro-magnetic parameters of the traction motor while the calculated result was compared with the actually-test data, and then, came the beneficial conclusion.
