According to the design features of MAN and W?rtsil? diesel engine starting air pipeline components, this paper focuses on the pipeline's design pressure, pipe selection, flange selection, pressure test and explosion-proof sheet design calculation. And the starting valve nut tightening method and starting air pipeline safety device are also analyzed. In addition, some matters needing attention in starting air pipeline design are put forward in the paper.
