高校教师作为高级知识群体的代表，担负传播与创造人类文明的重任，同时有培养大学生正确人生观和价值观的光荣使命，所以，高校教师践行社会主义核心价值观有着很强的现实性和必要性，具体践行路径应结合教师职业特点，从爱国守法、爱岗敬业、关爱学生、教书育人、为人师表等几方面实着手。
