汉字作为世界上唯一使用的表意文字，其以独特的音、形、意共存的优势，越来越被平面设计者所重视。汉字具备千变万化的视觉形体，蕴含博大精深的文化内涵，能够营造出独特的意境美。在汉字设计中，营造意境美可提升汉字设计的信息与文化内涵，有助于实现与受众的心理情感共鸣。汉字设计意境美的实现方式有二：一是进行书法艺术再设计，二是图文交替设计。
한자작위세계상유일사용적표의문자，기이독특적음、형、의공존적우세，월래월피평면설계자소중시。한자구비천변만화적시각형체，온함박대정심적문화내함，능구영조출독특적의경미。재한자설계중，영조의경미가제승한자설계적신식여문화내함，유조우실현여수음적심리정감공명。한자설계의경미적실현방식유이：일시진행서법예술재설계，이시도문교체설계。
As a unique ideographic script, the coexisting of sound, form and meaning in Chinese character has been attached more and more importance by graphic designers. Moreover, with changeable visual form and profound cultural connotation, Chinese characters could construct a subtle artistic beauty in conception. In the process of designing, artistic conception could enrich the information and cultural connotation in Chinese characters and achieve the psychological emotional resonance in the audience. There are two ways in design to deliver the artistic conception: one is calligraphy art redesign; while the other is graphic image-text design in alternation.
