传统医学美德的内涵表现为医乃仁术、大医精诚，明确了治病救人的行医观念。在医患冲突不断升级、伤医事件频发的今天，弘扬医学美德有助于缓解医患矛盾、冲突。剖析引发医患冲突的因素，结合传统医学美德的内容，提出改善医患关系的途径：注重医学生医德教育、尊重患者隐私、注重医患沟通技巧、完善医院管理制度、尊重医学规律、关注社会现实，从而取得患者信任，和谐医患关系，维护健康有序的医疗秩序。

The connotation of traditional medical virtue include medicine is humane art ,virtual of great physician ,and the cleared practical conception of saving life .Nowadays ,doctor‐patient conflict is escalating with increased medical disputes . Therefore ,emphasizing traditional medical virtue can help to ease contradiction and conflicts between doctor and patient . The authors analyzed the factors triggered the conflicts between doctors and patients ,proposed approaches to improve doctor‐patient relationship , such as respecting patient’s privacy , improving ethics education of medical students , promoting doctor‐patient communication skills and improving hospital management according to medical rules and social reality so that the trust of patients and a robust medical environment can be maintained .
