湖北省三稀资源丰富,武当地区与碱性岩有关的铌、稀土矿有着巨大的找矿前景,其典型矿床庙垭铌、稀土矿储量居世界前列。该矿床位于东秦岭武当山隆起的西南缘,出露元古代—新生代地层,以活动类型和稳定类型的交替沉积为特征。其矿体受南北走向断层控制,产于碱性杂岩体中,具有岩体即矿体的特征。而武当地区发育有多处碱性岩带,该区有望发现一批中大型铌、稀土矿床。

Hubei is rich in rare earth, rare and scare metal.Wudang area and alkaline rocks of niobium,rare earth ore have great prospecting potential.Reserves of REE deposit and niobium deposit,which are among the first ranks in the world.The deposit located at southwestern margin of Wudang mountain uplift,exposed Proterozoic Cenozoic strata is char-acterized by the alternation of activity type and stable type.The ore body is controlled by the NS trending fault,and pro-duced in the alkaline complex rock,which has the characteristics of the ore body.The development of Wudang area,the region with multiple alkaline rock belt is expected to find a group ofmedium andlarge-scale REE deposit.
