线损率是供电企业的重要综合性经济技术指标，是企业利润的重要组成部分。线损率的大小一方面取决于企业的电网结构、技术水平、运行方式、电压水平及功率因数等多种因素，另一方面取决于供电企业生产经营活动中降损节能的管理水平。精细化的线损管理模式，是实现供电企业节能降损目标的有效途径。线损“五分”管理，即对所辖电网采取包括“分压、分区、分线、分台区、分相”的综合降损管理方式，是线损精细化管理的重要探索。
