This paper introduces the on-site detecting technique of the SF 6 decomposition products , inclu-ding detector tube , infrared spectroscopy , gas chromatography , optoacoustic spectroscopy and so on .The difference between the detection methods is analyzed .A SF6 gas quality comprehensive detector is devel-oped combining with the need of actual test to ensure the safety of SF 6 electrical equipment operation .
