The hardware and software design of a kind of intelligent controller for low-voltage circuit-breakers based on high performance processor-dsPIC30F4013 is introduced.The intelligent circuit-break-er not only realizes the collection of real-time data and the various protection functions , but also carries out the calculation and analysis of electro-parameters of power grid .The device communicates with the monitoring system through the CAN field bus to meet the automation requirements of low-voltage distribu-tion system at present .In addition , when the circuit-breaker has the fault and trips , through GSM module the staff can be notified by SMS in time .
