正式始于1912年1月1日的元旦节在抗战时期发生了巨大变化，最大变化之一就是元旦节在战时具有浓厚的抗战色彩，元旦从战前的一个普通节日演变为一个抗战动员节日。在陪都，战时元旦的活动内容包括政要发表抗日宣传讲话、抗日游行、抗日募捐等，活动主要特点有抗战活动方式多样、内容紧扣抗战主题、活动参与主体广泛等。

Great changes took place on the official start of New Yearˊs Day,January 1,1912. One of the biggest changes was that the New Yearˊs Day had a strong colour of resistance in wartime. The New Yearˊs Day was an ordinary festival before the war,but it became a mobilization festival in the war of resistance against Japan. In the provisional cap-ital Chongqing,the New Yearˊs Dayˊactivities during the war mainly included the politiciansˊdeclaration of anti-Japanese propaganda speech,anti-Japanese demonstrations,and anti-Japanese fundraising. The main characteristics of the ac-tivities were as follows:the ways were varied,the content was closely related to the theme of resistance,and the subjects of participating the activities were quite wide.
