高职英语教师的角色正在发生改变，即从传统的基础英语教师转变为行业英语教师，而这一转变对于培养实用复合型人才、提升教师素质具有重要意义。在此过程中，高职院校应加强行业英语教师的培养力度，优化评价机制，同时行业英语教师也应改善自身知识结构，采用多样化的教学模式。

The role of English teachers in higher vocational schools is changing from traditional basic English teachers to career English teachers, which is of great importance for cultivating practical interdisciplinary talents and improving teachers’ qualities. In the process, it is necessary for higher vocational schools to strengthen the cultivation of career English teachers and optimize evaluation mechanism, meanwhile for career English teachers to perfect their knowledge structure and adopt diverse teaching mode.
