大学的根本任务在于培育人才，而人才质量又是大学教育教学的生命线。我国自高等教育大众化以来，高校的发展面临诸多挑战：如教学资源不足，师资水平不高，生源质量参差不齐等，由此产生的一些现象也令人堪忧，学生难以完成学业、难以就业、难以沟通，“问题学生”成为家长、老师和社会关注的一大群体。如何在数量的基础上保障人才培养的质量，成为高校育人和管理的一个重要命题，构建和完善大学生学业预警机制，成为新形势下提高人才培养质量的一项重要举措。

The basic task of college is to train talents, and the quality of talents training is the lifeline of college. Since the popularization of higher education in our country, the development of colleges has faced many challenges, such as the lack of teaching resources, the shortage of outstanding teachers, the uneven quality of students, and so on. That followed are some worrying phenomena, for example, students find it hard to complete their studies, find jobs, and communicate. The group of “problem students” thus becomes social focus of parents, teachers and society. How to guarantee the quality of talents training based on the amount of students becomes an important topic. And to build and improve the college students’ academic warning mechanism becomes an important measure to improve the quality of talents training under the new situation.
