As a new frontier technology on information security,digital watermarking technology plays an important role in the field of raster geographic data security. Elaboration and analysis were carried out from three aspects, technology status, technical characteristics and attacking method for digital watermarking raster geographic data in this article, and the development direction was pointed out for raster geographic data watermark technology in the future.
