ABSTRACT:This paper introduces the analyzing software used in data analysis and the signif icance of the data analysis, and from the aspects of the paper output, the number of published papers of high-yield authors,the distribution of journals, and the distribution of highly cited authors,etc., analyzes the relevant data of the research papers of Material Science and Engineering Institute of Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology to demonstrate how to serve the discipline construction by using the data analysis.
