Pragmatics studies the context of texts and can provide instruction to translation teaching. The translation process includes understanding,expression and restructuring. The paper discusses the basic concept of Pragmatics and the three steps in translation process. By referring to some cases,it also explores pragmatic translation,the combination of Pragmatics and translation study,and concludes the enlightenment of pragmatic translation to translation teaching for college students.
