Objective:To explore the effect of applying Roy adaptation model in the patients with schizophrenia. Methods:86 hospitalized patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group(43 cases in each group). The routine nursing care was taken in the control group and the Roy adaptation model was adopted in the observation group. The patients in the two groups were assessed by using HAMD,HAMA,SCSQ and NOSIE after nursing intervention for 8 weeks. Results:The differences in the comparison of the scores of HAMD,HAMA,SCSQ and NOSIE were statistically significant before and after nursing care in the observation group(P<0. 01,P<0. 05);the comparison of the scores of HAMD,HAMA,SCSQ and NOSIE was significantly different between the two groups after nursing care for 8 weeks(P<0. 01,P<0. 05). Conclusion:Application of Roy adaptation model can significantly alleviate the state of anxiety and depression of patients with schizophrenia and can enhance their adaptive ability to various stimuli and improve the abil-ity to adapt to society,which is conducive to the rehabilitation of patients.
