According to specific examples of vice shaft excavation through the mined-out area in Xinjing Coal Industry Co., Ltd. of Yangquan Coal Group, this paper analyzes the causes of spontaneous combustion in the mined-out area, and proposes specific measures for fire prevention. After the implementation of the measures, excavation roadway can pass the mined-out area, which can ensure the safe production of the mine.
