Along with the significant promotion and development of the national economy, the development of the construc?tion of China's water conservancy projects is also in full swing. Science and technology is widely used in the construction of water conservancy projects. This article summarizes the application of GIS technology in the project cost saving and op?timization in the process of the survey for large water conservancy project, discusses the functions of GIS technology for large water conservancy project’s survey and cost optimization, thus having a certain reference value.
