文化育人是高校的使命，是提高大学办学质量、提升办学品位、塑造大学精神的基础和前提。边疆民族地区高校要把握文化育人的内涵，通过凝练大学精神，坚持以人为本，以制度文化育人；重视物质文化建设，构建和谐的育人环境；加强行为文化建设，丰富校园文化活动，培养合格人才，促进边疆经济发展和社会的稳定。

Cultural education is a mission of colleges and univer-sities, as well as the foundation and premise of improving the school-running quality and taste of colleges and universities and shaping the spirit of colleges and universities. Colleges and uni-versities of Xinjiang minority nationality areas should grasp the connotation of cultural education, condensing the spirit of col-leges and universities, adhering to people-orientation and edu-cating students with system culture;they should emphasize on the construction of material culture and construct a harmonious cul-ture for education; they should also enhance behavior culture construction, and enrich campus cultural activities, so as to cul-ture qualified talents for the society and promote the frontier eco-nomic development and social stability.
