A compound [C6N4H20]0.5[B5O6(OH)4] which was synthesized by the solvent evaporation method using water as solvent at low temperature was introduced.The product was characterized by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry analysis and infrared spectroscopy.The students could master the instrument operation and the ability of spectrum analysis would be improved.This experiment is a latest scientific research result and has a novel knowledge.It can combine the inorganic synthesis experiment and large-scale instruments. The ability of scientific research of students could be improved and the innovative thinking would be developed.
