Pulmonary hypertension is a pulmonary vascular disease of heterogeneous origins,which is associated with a poor prognosis,ultimately leads to right heart failure,and causes the patients death.In recent years,an increasing number of biomarkers have been described in pulmonary hypertension and which may assist the clinician in diagnosis and the assessment of disease severity,response to treatment and the prognosis.This article reviews the biomarkers associated with pulmonary hypertension.
