“土郁夺之”为《内经》五郁之一。“土郁”应当包括脾胃郁滞所致的各种病证，主要以心腹胀满、肠鸣泄泻、胁肋疼痛、呕吐、下肢肿胀等为临床表现，与湿、食、热、痰等密切相关。“夺”法首当理解为通下之意，还包含消、汗、吐等治法，使用的同时也要注重培土的重要性。“土郁夺之”的临床应用颇为广泛，包括脾胃系的诸多疾病，以及冠心病、水肿等皆可应用。
“토욱탈지”위《내경》오욱지일。“토욱”응당포괄비위욱체소치적각충병증，주요이심복창만、장명설사、협륵동통、구토、하지종창등위림상표현，여습、식、열、담등밀절상관。“탈”법수당리해위통하지의，환포함소、한、토등치법，사용적동시야요주중배토적중요성。“토욱탈지”적림상응용파위엄범，포괄비위계적제다질병，이급관심병、수종등개가응용。

Not only the “consumption method” should be grasped as purgation, but also include diaphoresis, emesis and resolving therapeutic methods, then we should pay attention to use the nourishing method. The method of relieving spleen depression can help to treat the spleen and stomach diseases, coronary heart diseases, edema etc.
