彝族火把节作为非物质文化遗产蕴涵着丰富的价值。火把节期间会以以下活动方式去进行纪念：其一，宗教祭祀；其二，民族传统体育活动。随着越来越多的人意识到火把节的重要性，把火把节的文化资源转化为经济资源，并且使得彝族文化在这样的平台上发扬光大。文章从这个角度出发，探析彝族火把节的活动效能，指出彝族火把节深刻影响着彝族传统体育的发展，对彝族火把节的合理开发，彝族火把节实现产业化发展，必将推动凉山的和谐有序发展。
